OUR VISION
WDP provides an artistic home for Chicago movement artists. An artistic home is recognized as a two-fold experience of wellness; both creative and financial. WDP invests in artists’ wellness via the creation of safe-spaces for movement research, growth and engagement with the “wreckage” of lived experience in an art-centric community. Financial wellness is honored via fair pay, and an understanding that financial security is an important foundation for artists to reach their full potential. WDP strives to be an artistic home for dancers to feel alive in their artistry, via projects, processes and spaces.
